OUR PRODUCT

Products on our site are handmade and hand-finished, and as such, these may vary from the images shown on our site. Pictures of the products on our site are for illustrative and guidance purposes only.

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE?

At The Pink Kitchen, we only use the best ingredients we can get our hands on. We only work with organic free-range eggs and high-quality British butter. We also use Callebaut cocoa powder and the finest chocolates from Belgium. Our fruit is all fresh and locally sourced from trusted farms, and we hand-make all our sauces, compotes, fillings and caramels.

CAN YOU DO BESPOKE CAKES AND CUPCAKES?

Yes, we do bespoke cakes and cupcakes. Please call us to request your custom order or email us at hello@thepinkkitchen.co.uk with a picture reference.

DIETARY INFORMATION

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS?

Almost all of our products are suitable for vegetarians. Please search under the "free-from" navigation menu to select from the range and see the available options.

DO YOU SELL ANY VEGAN PRODUCTS?

Yes, we do! Check out our cakes, cupcakes, and brownies to see which flavours are available. We have cross-contamination prevention procedures in place, but products may contain traces of dairy or eggs.

DO YOU SELL ANY GLUTEN FREE PRODUCTS?

Our gluten-free cakes, cupcakes and brownies are baked without gluten; however, they are made in an environment that uses gluten-based products. Whilst we have rigid cross-contamination prevention procedures, products may contain traces of gluten.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS NUT-SAFE?

We cannot guarantee that our products don't contain traces of nuts. Although a product may not contain nuts, and while we have robust cross-contamination prevention procedures, all products are hand-baked in a kitchen that handles nuts.

 STORAGE

HOW SHOULD I STORE CAKES AND HOW LONG DO THEY KEEP FRESH FOR?

Our cakes should last well up to five days. For this, they must be stored in a cool, dark and dry space, out of direct sunlight or in the fridge. If you keep the cake in the refrigerator, please allow 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
Please note that cakes that are two tiers or more contain internal supports such as cocktail sticks and dowels, which must be removed before serving.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CUPCAKES AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST FOR?

They will keep fresh for up to two days if it doesn't vanish instantly. You can also freeze your cupcakes for two months, max.

HOW SHOULD I STORE BROWNIES AND HOW LONG DO THEY KEEP FRESH?

Our brownies are best stored in the fridge and will keep for a week. At room temperature, they will be good for four days.

ORDERING

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO ORDER IN ADVANCE?

We require at least two days' notice for cupcakes and three days for big cakes. Depending on the month, we may be able to help at shorter notice, so please call 07544499768 or email us hello@thepinkkitchen.co.uk

DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT TO BUY A CAKE, CUPCAKE OR BROWNIE?

No, accounts are optional. We offer a super quick checkout, and you can save your details using your browser for even faster repeat checkout. To receive news and discounts, you can sign up for our newsletter, and to get closer to our daily activities, follow us on Instagram.

I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL. WHAT CAN I DO?

Your confirmation email will be sent once payment has been received - don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you haven't received a confirmation after payment has been made.

Occasionally, our confirmation email may find its way into your spam or trash folder. Please check these folders and allow plenty of time for the confirmation email to be sent through - it may not be received immediately. If you still have not received a confirmation email on the day the order is placed, please contact us at hello@thepinkkitchen.co.uk

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?

No, we don't have minimum orders.

HOW DO I AMEND AN ORDER?

If you wish to amend an order, you must contact us ASAP. There is at least three days' notice for cupcakes and four days for layer cakes. Orders placed with customised decorations or flavours cannot be amended after placing the order.

HOW DO I CANCEL AN ORDER?

If you need to cancel or amend an online order, you must contact us with a written cancellation notice, which you can send by email to us hello@thepinkkitchen.co.uk before 5 pm on the day the order was placed. 

Your cancellation notice must quote your name, address, the name or a description of the products ordered and your order reference number. Unfortunately, after this time, it will not be possible to cancel an order.

Bespoke cakes and wedding cake deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date.

  • Full payments made less than four weeks before the delivery date are non-refundable.
  • Full payments made more than four weeks in advance of the delivery date are subject to a cancellation fee if cancelled more than four weeks in advance of the delivery date.
  • We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than four week's notice.
  • Orders paid in full and cancelled with more than four weeks' notice will receive a partial refund of 50% of the total amount paid. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full price to you.

DELIVERY

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

Our Kent delivery map can be found on the delivery page. Our Anytime Delivery (between 8am - 5pm) is currently £6 and orders can be delivered every day. Please contact us for London deliveries.

COLLECTION

WHERE CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER FROM?

Orders can be arranged to be collected from our Studio in Otford. (9a High Street Otford -Sevenoaks Kent TN14 5PG) between 10am - 3pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 11:am on Saturdays.

It is a brown door between a florist shop and a kitchen shop in Otford High Street.

Please be aware when collecting large cakes, these can be extremely heavy and the boxes they come in can be very large. We strongly recommend arranging suitable transport to collect large cakes or cupcakes. 

WE DO NOT PROVIDE BAGS AS OUR CAKES NEED TO BE CARRIED BY HAND.

SIZE OF PRODUCT

HOW BIG ARE YOUR CUPCAKES?

Our cupcakes are full standard size. However, we also an offer mini cupcakes. within the bespoke range.

HOW MANY PORTIONS DO YOUR LAYER CAKES SERVE?

Our layers cakes are three sponges layers with two layers of filling.

We recommend:

  • 6" 8-10 portions 
  • 8"  15-20 portions
  • 10" 25-20 portions
  • 12" 35-40 portions

WEDDING CAKES

WHEN DO WE HAVE PLACE OUR WEDDING CAKE ORDER?

For weddings and large events, we accept orders up to six months in advance. However, if you find yourself planning last minute, feel free to give us a call. We'll go above and beyond to accommodate your needs and ensure your special day is everything you dreamed of.

DO YOU DELIVER WEDDING CAKES ANYWHERE IN THE UK?

We can deliver our three or four-tier cakes anywhere in England; however, our smaller cakes are limited to Kent and surrounding areas. The delivery cost depends on the distance the cake needs to travel. We can quote delivery upon enquiry.

CAN YOU CATER FOR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

We have a free-from range of cakes: vegan/egg-free/dairy-free and gluten-free.

All our cakes are vegetarian and produced on premises where we might use nuts, milk, eggs, soya, and wheat (gluten).

DO YOU OFFER DESSERT TABLES?

We specialise in high-end, memorable dessert tables for large weddings. Please get in touch for more information.

We just provide cakes and desserts. We don’t offer table decorations and cake stands.

WEDDING CAKE PRICES

Wedding cake prices are displayed on our wedding cake collection page. If you would like to customise your wedding cake, please send us your brief, and we will provide a quotation.

DO YOU HAVE WEEDING CAKES PHOTOS?

CAN I ADD FRESH FLOWERS TO MY WEDDING CAKE?

Yes, you can have fresh flowers on your wedding cake.

DO YOU HAVE DELIVER AND SETUP THE CAKE?

For convenience and ease on your special day, we can deliver wedding cakes of all sizes and set them up before the party starts.

WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT POLICY?

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm an order and hold the date. The remaining 50% is due four weeks before the delivery date; at this point, all changes must be confirmed (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees).

Orders placed less than four weeks before the delivery date must be paid in full. The buyer must pay the final balance on the invoice four weeks before the delivery date. Payment can be made earlier if you wish. Failure to complete payment four weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment, the buyer accepts our Terms and Conditions.

DO YOU OFFER A TASTAING CONSULTATION OR SAMPLING?

Please get in touch with us to book your sample box with your favourite flavours. We can do your consultations at the venue or in the best place for the couple. We are unable to accept visitors at our production premises.

  • A finger portion is a 1″x1″x4″ rectangular slice.
  • 6" 20 portions  / 8"  40 portions / 10" 60 portions  /12" 80 portions.
